Jennifer Fendya, Ph.D.

Jennifer FendyaBoard President, Jennifer received her doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology, where she expressed her affinity toward C.G. Jung openly and wrote a phenomenological dissertation on the experiences of the first Hmong women in America to attend college.  She kept her Jungian-orientation quiet at psychoanalytically-oriented residencies in the psychiatry departments of Yale and Northwestern Universities before going to Dharamsala, India to volunteer at Men-Tsee-Khang, the Medical & Astrological Institute of H.H. the Dalai Lama.  She has maintained a private practice with adults in Western NY for almost 20 years, and for several years enjoyed curating art exhibitions at the Jung Center on Franklin Street.  Jennifer is a student of Miksang contemplative photography as well as Sandplay therapy, is seeking certification as a Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, and dabbles in poetry and art-making.  This is her second year as Board President.
