Using the Oldest Book on Earth: Towards a Better Understanding of the “I Ching”

The I Ching or the Book of Change and the Unchanging Truth, is the oldest book in the world. Participants will have a chance to review some the metaphysics underlying Taoist philosophy and learn more about this text, its structure and meaning.  We’ll review simple methods for casting a hexagram and get experience asking questions and interpreting responses.  Those who attended Franklin’s first I Ching Workshop in 2012 might enjoy this refresher course, in which he will share more insights about this incomparable oracle, this precious gift to humanity from the timeless spiritual world.

Franklin LaVoie stumbled upon the I Ching in 1975.  Since then he has worked with its philosophy and Taoist metaphysics.  Franklin has been a “lesser asteroid” around Jung Center Buffalo since 1980.  His knowledge of psychology and the I Ching give him insights and discernment that he will gladly share.
