Trinity Episcopal Church
July 28, 2019 2:00 pm -4:00 pm

“The purpose of the Analytical Psychology Society of Western New York is to study and share the work of C.G. Jung and related contemporary thought.”

4 July 2019

To our membership and those who are interested in Carl Jung’s work and in personal development.

Our annual meeting is scheduled on 28 July 2019 between 2 through 4PM at Trinity Episcopal Church 371 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14202. All whether members or not are welcomed.

The C.G. Jung Center has been happily ensconced in our new home at Trinity Episcopal Church 371 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14202 since November of 2016. The move from our long time home on Franklin Street to the our new home at Trinity, where we began nearly 50 years ago.

The Board of the Buffalo Jung Center is focused on making this Center available to a wider community. We have joined together, taught each other, learned from each other and that collaboration has allowed us to actively support and guide the Jung Center to best serve our community. The process was not without struggle, but we have managed to do this by practicing collective respect and open-heartedness, attitudes that have supported the successful functioning of the Board.

Central to our new home is our Barbara Moot Memorial Library of Jungian Studies named in honor of Barbara Moot, one of our founders. Our library is central to pour new home and is open as a lending library to members of the Jung Center family.

Significant changes have taken place since we moved to our new home here at Trinity Episcopal Church: Jennifer Fendya, Susan Stocks, Linda Sorrels-Smith have resigned from the Board and we have acquired two new members: a new Treasurer, Kate Teall, and a new Secretary, Mike McCracken. This still leaves us recruiting three new members. The present Board members have agreed to run for the positions they currently occupy.

Our By Laws require us to have a full operating Board of nine members, and we are working to recruit additional members to meet that requirement. We need three new board members to bring us to our full compliment of nine to complete a fully functioning, working Board. We need persons with experience who will contribute to an atmosphere of collaboration and mutual support toward accomplishing our mission. Yes, it is helpful if you are familiar with Jung’s writing but not necessary; you will learn. In particular, we are searching for a person who is experienced in website management to assume supervision of our current website and social network.

You, as present members, are the group from which we intend to elicit our new members.

You’ve attended at least one or perhaps several presentations, and if you’re interested in participating at level of greater involvement, please let us know by contacting JimEstep@BuffaloJungCenter.com or jimestep@juno.com or any of any of ur current Board members who you will elect at our annual meeting. Please indicate your skills and talent in the area in which you want to serve and contribute to our success.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 28 of July,

Jim Estep
Interim President
